Contemporary Artists from Brazil
Imago Mundi - Luciano Benetton Collection
Texts by Luciano Benetton, Tereza de Arruda, Andrea de Carvalho, Marcus Lontra Costa
The portrait of a unique and exceptional country, a melting pot of peoples and cultures, the ‘land of the future’ of Stefan Zweig, in which one has the perception of forever living in the future. More than 200 works that clearly reflect all of Brazil’s strength, vitality and capacity for accumulation, integration and transformation. A valuable artistic laboratory in which seduction, exuberance, redemption and vision illuminate a pictorial culture that expresses the coexistence of trends, but which is also an invitation to understand and love life without rules or prejudices, a simple path to learn be happy.
Brazil: Land of the Future. Contemporary Artists from Brazil is an Imago Mundi collection, a cultural, democratic, global, non-profit project, promoted by Luciano Benetton with the aim of creating the widest possible mapping of the different contemporary artistic experiences of our world. In Imago Mundi, each country is represented by the works of established artists and new talents, commissioned with the maximum freedom of expression, whose only constraint is the 10x12 cm format.
