Burkina Faso / Union - Imago Mundi
Contemporary Artists from Burkina Faso
Imago Mundi - Luciano Benetton Collection
Texts by Luciano Benetton, Enrico Mascelloni, Prosper Tiendrebeogo
A new and surprising visual journey through the language of art to discover Burkina Faso. 140 works collected by Imago Mundi to present to the world the talents and creativity that descend directly from the history of "the home of the people of integrity" (Burkina means integrity in the Moore language. Faso, in Dioula, means father's house ). Small masterpieces of striking ancestral force and naive grace. Together, they compose a colourful mosaic that speaks of hope.
Burkina Faso / Union. Contemporary Artists from Burkina Faso is an Imago Mundi collection, a cultural, democratic, global, non-profit project, promoted by Luciano Benetton with the aim of creating the widest possible mapping of the different contemporary artistic experiences of our world. In Imago Mundi, each country is represented by the works of established artists and new talents, commissioned with the maximum freedom of expression, whose only constraint is the 10x12 cm format.
